After one year with no water, 50 thousand people in Maar Tamasreen get clean water
BINAA recently finished rehabilitating the water network and water system in Maar Tamasreen in Idlib northern countryside after a whole year of no water.
The project which is funded by UNICEF provided clean water for more than 50 thousand people of the village which used to depend on unsterile expensive water trucking.
Project Manager Eng. Majd Alraai explained that this project is part of BINAA strategy to rehabilitate basic service infrastructure and its key role in supporting community resilience and social cohesion as well as the organization’ efforts to restore livelihoods and achieve sustainability as possible.
Its worth mentioning that Maar Tamsreen residents depended on water trucking which reflected on their health especially after the emergence of water-borne diseases such as chronic diarrhea and enteritis.
